Description

This is a 3 bedroom beautiful modern apartment cleverly designed and with bundles of character. There is 150 square meters featuring 3 bedrooms of which two look out on to one of the delightful green patios. Each of the 3 bedrooms has an en suite bathroom with modern showers.

At the entrance of the apartment there is a large room with a desk for work and study along with a sofa bed. Then through to the center of the home is the open living-come kitchen area. This has access to the exquisite central outdoor dinning area, which is your own little sanctuary area or 'green' relaxing room! It has the feeling like your are outside of the city, with a beautiful large lemon tree in the back yard and daily visits from the birds yet it is surprisingly very centrally located.

You are located in Gracia. A village within a city as people describe it; walking distance to everywhere it is only 15 minute walk to Passeig de Gracia yet a step away from that city feeling. It enjoys bustling squares and vibrant bar and cafe life. If you want to experience the real Barcelona and feel like a local this is the location for you. There are plenty of food markets, boutiques, specialty shops, cafes and restaurants all in close proximity.

Gracia is in a district bubbling with local bars, cinemas and theatres. There is one of the few original version cinemas that offer 8 different shows. The most characteristic thing about the neighborhood is its squares full with bars and terraces to have a drink or a lunch. Many might compare Gracia with New York's East Village. It’s close enough to all the touristic spots (you can even walk to Park Güell or the Sagrada Familia) but it is far enough to avoid touristic crowds.

We are 2 minutes away from the green line subway station which can takes you within 3 stops to the city center and the gothic quarter. Or you can do an easy 20 min downhill walk along Passeig de Gracia down to Plaza Catalunya and the beginning of the Ramblas.

The train station is only 2 subway stops away. Here you can find connections to many of the beaches north and south of Barcelona or to the mountain areas and the Pyrenees.

Gracias celebrates a unique and very popular 10 day street festival every third week in august. Street communities compete with each other by creatively decorating the streets. It is a very vibrant and fun festival with a lot of music and performances.

Just bloody brilliant!

I don't even know where to start. Just bloody brilliant will have to do for lack of a better vocabulary! This place is so amazing, you won't feel like leaving the apartment to visit the other attractions! Unfortunately I had only 3 days to enjoy the house. It is perfect! Everything is spic n span when you enter. Tons of local bars & restaurants around. Only problem (if I may) is the lack of parking space available. The streets are tiny & free parking is almost impossible to get. But if you don't mind walking, there's a paid parking about 10-15 mins from the apartment (€26/day). The patio is probably the highlight of the house. Very secure neighborhood with a supermarket just opposite the entrance. The best part is the welcome email you get from the beautiful hosts Phil & Fiona! They arrange for taxis, food so that you don't have to run around in an unknown place. If you're going to Barcelona, don't even think twice & just stay here! The hosts are just a phone call away for anything you need. Thanks a ton for having us guys! Cheers!

Great great apartment!

This was a great apartment with excellent and attentive support from Phil and Fiona. The apartment looks exactly as the pictures show it - spacious yet cozy, with lots of space to gather inside and outside. Nice bedrooms and ample space for clothing, and GREAT bathrooms. The location was great too - conveniently located off one of the major north/south streets through the city, but a few doors down from noise, making it a nice retreat to come home to. The neighborhood is very charming as well - lots of great, not-very-touristy restaurants, plenty of shopping at interesting boutiques, and lots of great options nearby for renting bikes. Also, small grocery store across the street for last-minute cooking items, beverages, etc. It is a bit of a walk down to the touristy parts of the city (30-45 minute walk to the end of Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, etc.), but if you're looking to get away from tourists, this spot is perfect. Phil and Fiona will make sure you have everything you need to feel comfortable during your stay.

Absolutely Wonderful!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our recent visit to Barcelona due in part to the beautiful apartment we stayed in on Carrer Montseny. It was comfortable, clean, warm and inviting and had everything we needed and then some. We chose the apartment based on having two outside patio areas and they were beautiful. The location was PERFECT and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafés, attractions and a Metro stop just around the corner. Yet extremely quiet at night for sleeping. Take advantage of the House Book with information on "where to go" in the neighborhood - La Papeta (spelling?) is the BEST Tapas in Barcelona with great service and ambiance. Our sincere thanks to Phil and Fiona who were a delight to deal with and gave us quick responses to questions and emails. We would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to everyone!

The hosts were great!

We had a few minor requests and they responded very quickly and even came by and visited with us. The location is perfect and the hosts have a printed guidebook with all suggested shopping and restaurants (very helpful!) The apartment is on the ground floor and the only windows are those to the courtyard and the back patio area. It was rainy, so we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the courtyard. The apartment is beautifully decorated and it has everything you need: all kitchen utensils, nice wine glasses, dishes for tapas, and GOOD frying pans. There is also a DVD with a few movies (many children movies), a nice selection of reading material (magazines, books, etc.), a wash machine, drying racks, etc. They offered us a baby crib and a highchair with no additional costs.

Loved the patio....

The place was great and looked as advertised. It is in a great location, close to a metro and walkable to many nice parts of town. Nice kitchen and baths, which are a plus in Europe. The greenery on the patios made it feel less like city living.

Perfect!

Thank you to Phil & Fiona for a great stay at this gorgeous flat. We felt completely at home in the very comfortable set up and our kids loved the scooters and toys ready to hand - so much better than a hotel room. Phil was very helpful and was there on time exactly as arranged. We loved the area as well particularly wandering around on Halloween with all the local kids playing in the streets as we did. All in all, thanks for a great end to our stay in Barcelona.

Professional Service

We spent a wonderful time in this really big and beautiful Appartement. It is really well equipped and especially the patio is phantastic. Everything was very clean & we would come back anytime. The ultimate Highlight for us was that it has a very nice neighbourhood with every kind of nice shops, markets, restaurants & Bars but within the appartement it is absolutely quiet-it's almost like an 'oasis' ! Fiona & Phil were perfect hosts and create a very familiar atmosphere- they provide a very nice and professional service. We hope to see them soon again!
